Here you will read about 5 basic ways that you can use to get high search ranking on google and other major search engines. Basically these points are about improving SEO and getting high organic traffic from search engines.
1. Defining the keywords
It is first necessity to choose keywords and use them in your posts without disturbing the quality of post. While choosing your keywords remember one thing that these would be the words which will link your post to search engines. Therefore, you should choose those words which you think will be searched on google.
Take example of this post here my keyword is SEO but somehow it cannot be repeated in my blog post enough number of times, alternative for this is to use a long tail keyword or phrase. Like i am using the phrase "ways to improve SEO of blog" and by using this phrase a few times the post would be ranked good on google.
2. Use the keywords in the title of post
Once we get aware of keywords to be used, we must use them in title of our post. This is the most important part for getting good ranking for chosen keywords.
For example, have a look on the title of this post it is "5 ways to improve SEO of blog", here i have used my main keyword phrase in the title and it is very important for getting good ranking by search engines for my post.
3. Use keywords in the H2 tag
Heading tags are the most important part in order to get good ranking on search engines. Always try to divide your content in parts and use H2 and H3 tags for defining headings and sub-headings of divided parts
For example, before starting these points I have written " Ways to improve SEO of blog ", that I have written in H2 tag and have used my main keyword phrase in it. This helps in improving the position of our post in search engine's results.
4. Using keywords in the content
Written content is the main part of our post for which we get ranked on search engines and you must use your keywords in your content. You have to make sure that you have used your keywords enough number of times in your text but one important thing is that, your keyword density should be in the prescribed limits.
There is something about using keywords and many of my blogger friends are unaware about it. There are minimum and maximum limits for keyword density. A perfect keyword density is between 1.5% to 4.5%. If you are below the limit then search engines will ignore your post and if you cross the limit then search engines might consider your posts as spam and may not rank it.
5. Word limits
On many blogs i have read that for good ranking you must write 500 words to get good rank, as there is no prescribed limit from the google but i will say it is 300 words if your posts are of 300 or more words then they can be easily ranked good on google but if you have less then 300 words in your post then there are 50% less chances for getting good rank on google.
I have experienced it with my blogs that the posts having 300 or more words easily get good rank while others with less words are hard to get good rank on google.

ReplyYour points are great but i don't agree with the last point. As you can see many authority sites have got google's first page. It is not because of their domain authority, but their content is way enough, more than 2000 words. So, i believe to get highest google ranking 500 word limit isn't enough. Recently I started blogging and posted around 1000 words per post and results were quite amazing. I have 2 month old blog and i believe it will long. Btw thank you, Happy blogging. It was just my point,hope you are doing good with it.

ReplyThanks for your openion about this point but latest changes in Google's search algorithms the quality standards are raised up to 67.8% and content length is still limited to 19.2% that is the reason that the quality factors can not be beaten by the physical(p+) factors like length of the content, age of the content and media usage.
