How to convert xp Service pack 2 to Service pack 3
These days technology is updating day by day and with the upgrading technology softwares and games are also upgrading. The requirements to run softwares and games on windows are moving on with time. The new softwares require updated platform to run on. Same happens with windows XP, most of the new softwares require XP SP3 to run and it becomes a big problem for the users who are having XP SP2 installed on their computers. Same problem i faced few months back when i downloaded a new game, when i installed and run it it was showing an error and that was due to it does not support XP SP2 which I was having on my system, it was demanding for XP SP3 to run and that become a big problem as i was not even having windows XP SP3 CD. Then i searched a lot on this issue and find a simple trick to convert XP SP2 to SP3 without using windows CD or any other external installation. Step 3 > Look for CSDVersion it would be having value 0X00000200, it is the value for Service pack 2. Right Click on it and go to Modify and change the value to 300 in place of 200.
Step 4 > Now restart your computer.
Congratulations you have successfully converted windows xp SP2 to SP3 and now you can run every software and game which required XP SP3 to run. This was just a simple trick which is simple but works fabulous.

Converting XP SP2 to XP SP3
Follow the given steps to convert XP SP2 to XP SP3.
Step 1 > Go to Start > Run > type regedit
This will open the Windows Registry Editor like shown below
Step 2 > Now in Windows Registry Editor go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > Current control set > Control > Windows
