How To Increase Google Adsense RPM

RPM is one of the important part for every Google Adsense Publisher who wants to earn money from Google Adsense. RPM stands for Revenue per mile or in simple terms RPM is the revenue per 1000 impressions, Adsense earnings are directly proportional to Adsense RPM, means higher the Adsense RPM, higher your Adsense earnings. RPM is calculated by dividing your estimated earnings by number of page views or impressions.

For example, If your Adsense RPM is $10 then you will earn $10 per 1000 impressions.


What determines the Adsense RPM ?

There are several factors that determines the Adsense RPM, some major factors are, traffic to your site, number of Ads on your site, Ad type, and many more. Your Adsense RPM can be low or high depending on these few factors.

There is a simple formula that determines Adsense RPM.
RPM = ( Estimated earnings / Number of page vews ) * 1000
 This is the formula by which Adsense RPM is calculated.

Note : RPM does not determines Adsense Earnings, but RPM is determined by your Adsense Earnings.

How to increase Google Adsense RPM

Here are simple tips that will help you to maximize you Adsense RPM and boost your Adsense Earnings.

1. Your Target Audience 
It matters a lot that from which country your audience is from, Google Adsense pays at different rates for visitors from different countries. Like if your Audience is from US, Canada, Australia and UK then your RPM would be much higher if compared to other countries like India, Pakistan, Nepal, and others. 
Therefore, the simple way to Increase your Adsense RPM is to target audience form countries like US, Canada, Australia, and UK rather then other parts of world

2. Ad Size
Ad size is very important part that have huge impact on Adsense RPM, If you use good and effective ad size to show ads on your site then you CPC and RPM would be higher. Some of the most good and effective ad size that are recommended are :
  • 336×280 large rectangle
  • 300×250 medium rectangle
  • 728×90 leaderboard
  • 300×600 half page
If you use these sizes to show ads then your Adsense RPM would be good with higher CPC.

3. Ad Position
The next important thing that affects your Adsense RPM and earnings is placement of your ads. In order to get good outcome from your adsense ads then you have to place them on the right place on your website where they can be easily seen by your audience. Your Adsense ads must be clearly visible to every one who opens your site, this will not only increase your RPM but will also have a positive impact on your Adsense earnings by raising your CPC.

4. Source of Audience
The source from where you get your audience is very important for every Adsense publishers, as Adsense give priority to organic traffic from Search engines. You need to get a big part of your audience from search engines like Google in order to increase your RPM, for which you need to improve your Google search ranking 

5. Ad type
The type of ads you show on your site is very important part, it is not good to show only text ads or only image ads. The best option is to show both type of ads, it is also recommended by the google as using both type of ads performs much better then showing only specific type of ads.

6. Selecting Advertisers
It is very important to select right ads for your website, for example if you have a website on a certain topic like bikes then there is no sense to show ads of domains, hosting etc, as people who are searching for bikes and if you will show them ads about something away from their interest then there is 0.01% chance of them to click on your ad. So, if you have a website about bikes then you must show ads relative to bikes and automobiles on your site to get good response.

Hello tirumalahills,
Sorry to say but the way you are going you can never make money from google adsense as your website does not have enough traffic and is only targeting Indian traffic and Google adsense pays less for countries like India,Pakistan and other countries but some of the countries like US, UK, Canada etc, the CPC is very high as there is more competition between advertisers of these countries.
