Many of my blogger friends use to ask how can they get backlinks for their blog ? this is the most common question now a days but just knowing the word is not enough for getting high quality backlinks you have to go deep and have to know what actually backlinks are ?

In this post we will start with introduction to backlinks and after a detailed description about backlinks we will know about the ways to get high quality backlinks.

What is a Backlink ?

In simple words " Backlink is a hyperlink that points to your website from another website. " Backlink is an important aspect that matters a lot in SEO ( Search Engine Optimization ) of a website. Backlinks are situated on different websites and points to your website and the reason for this linking can be reference because of high quality of your content.

For example, If I am writing a post on hosting services then, I would surely link a site that provides quality hosting services and that would be a backlink for that particular website.

Basically there are two types of backlinks

These are the backlinks that are purchased, many website sales backlinks and these are known to be artificial backlinks and I never suggest you to buy backlinks as they are not as effective as natural backlinks. Thus, it is wastage of time and money.

Natural backlinks are those links which you get without your knowledge, it is when any website or blog links your page or website between their post as a example or reference. These are highly effective and helps in SEO of a website and have a positive effect on search engine ranking of a website.

How to get high quality natural backlinks

The very first thing that i want to tell you is you cannot directly build high quality backlinks but indirectly you can. You get natural backlinks when you provide quality in your content. There is a simple formula for getting high quality natural backlinks and that is building high quality content. 

There are several factors that you can use to build high quality backlinks for your website. What you have to do is just focus on these factors and you will automatically get high quality natural backlinks.

Build high quality content

Quality is the most important factor that has very wide impact on SEO and performance of a website. If you have high quality content then people will like to put your link as reference on their site but only when your content matches that standard of quality. If your content is of high quality then you will surely get high quality natural backlinks.

Build long content

Building long content is another important aspect that you have to focus on if you have long content then their are more chances of getting more visitors to be engaged with your articles. You have to keep in mind one thing that it is must to have minimum 300 words in your posts. 300 is the minimum limit it would be best to write posts from 1000 to 1500 words as there are more chances for getting good ranking with long content.

Making videos about your posts and posting them to sites like youtube is quite good idea for getting high quality backlinks. Whenever you create a post side by side make it's video and when you share your video on some site you can share your link with it this will help in building quality of your website and will result in high quality backlinks.
